Shift 2: Unleashed career mode is called "entertaining and interactive". Shift 2: Unleashed redefines the racing simulator genre by delivering authentic and true-to-life, dynamic crash physics, plus insanely detailed real-world cars, drivers and tracks. During their careers, virtual racers partake in a variety of motorsport — like drifting, muscle car racing, retro car racing, Endurance races and circuit competition (i.e. FIA GT3 European Championship) — to hone their driving skills in hopes of becoming the FIA GT1 world champion.The game’s helmet-cam, which puts players right in the head of the racer is more than just in in-car camera. The helmet cam moves with the head of the driver, being drawn from side to side as the car takes corners and the driver is hit by G’s. As the car comes up to higher speeds, the edges of the screen will become blurred to simulate the tunnel-vision effect that drivers suffer when racing.Night racing isn't new to the genre, but Shift 2's tweaking the concept a bit to support its spicier take on the sim. Essentially, it's using the reduced field of vision to scare our pants off. Damaged headlights dim the already dark settings, making extreme turns especially frightening if they're on the same side as a broken lamp. The Autolog system is now ‘Need for Speed DNA’. The system appears in Shift 2: Unleashed in a more-or-less identical design, but will sport extra features that will not only provide track times for unique events, but also segregate data based on quick race tracks, race types and automotive disciplines. This essentially means that Autolog will be more than just a system that throws down your friend’s times regardless of how, or when, they set them during their career.

Mengenal Modem

 
Untuk anda yang biasa berinternet di rumah pasti tahu yang mana namanya modem. Tanpa modem, kita tidak akan bisa berselancar atau ber-email ria di internet. Modem merupakan singkatan dari MOdulator DEModulator, yang merupakan perangkat keras yang membuat komputer mampu mengkonversi data dari/ke dalam bentuk analog (sinyal suara) dan digital. Modulator merupakan bagian yang menyampaikan sinyal informasi kedalam sinyal pembawa (Carrier) agar bisa dikirimkan ke penerima melalui media kabel atau media tanpa kabel (wireless). Modulator ini terdapat pada bagian pengirim. Sedangkan Demodulator adalah kebalikan dari modulator, yaitu mengkonversi sinyal berisi data atau pesan dari sinyal pembawa (carrier) yang diterima dari pengirim sehingga informasi tersebut bisa diproses secara digital. Demodulator ini berada pada bagian penerima. Karena fungsi modulator dan demodulator merupakan fungsi yang berkebalikan, maka tentunya bisa disimpulkan bahwa modem ini merupakan sistem komunikasi dua arah (duplex).

Cara Kerja Modem

Dalam penggunaannya, modem bertugas merubah data dalam bentuk analog dan digital. Saat komputer disambung ke kabel telepon untuk kemudian digunakan berinternet, jika komputer kita akan mengupload/mengirim data, maka informasi/data dari komputer dalam bentuk digital akan diubah oleh modem menjadi bentuk analog untuk dikirim melalui kabel telepon atau media lainnya. Saat data/informasi analog tadi sampai ke komputer tujuan, maka modem yang ada pada komputer tujuan akan mengubah kembali bentuk data tersebut (analog) menjadi bentuk digital sehingga bisa diproses oleh komputer tujuan tadi. Begitu pula saat kita men-download data/file, data tersebut merupakan data analog saat berada pada kabel telepon, namun saat masuk ke komputer kita, modem akan seketika mengubahnya menjadi bentuk digital agar bisa ditampilkan. Hal inilah yang memungkinkan komputer-komputer di internet di berbagai belahan dunia bisa berinteraksi satu sama lain.

Jenis-Jenis Modem

Secara fisik, modem terbagi menjadi dua macam, yaitu modem internal dan eksternal.

- Modem Internal

Modem internal merupakan modem yang terpasang di dalam casing komputer. Jika sebuah modem dipasang dengan cara membuka casing komputer lalu menancapkannya ke dalam salah satu slot pada motherboard, maka modem tersebut adalah modem internal. Contoh lain adalah modem pada laptop. Saat membeli laptop, modem tersebut telah ada di dalam laptop tersebut. Modem internal memerlukan sebuah slot PCI atau slot ISA, tergantung pada interface motherboard. Karena tertancap pada motherboard, maka modem ini menggunakan catu daya yang berasal dari motherboard.

- Modem Eksternal

Kebalikan dengan modem internal, modem eksternal berada di luar casing komputer. Bentuknya berupa kotak dan harus disambungkan ke komputer dan juga disambungkan ke kabel telepon. Modem ini memerlukan catu daya tersendiri. Konektornya bisa berbentuk serial dan juga bisa berbentuk USB. Terdapat dua tipe modem eksternal, yaitu modem kabel dan modem DSL. Modem kabel merupakan modem eksternal yang umum digunakan dan dihubungkan ke komputer melalui Ethernet Card pada slot PCI. Sedangkan modem DSL merupakan modem untuk internet berkecepatan tinggi.

Perbedaan mencolok antara modem internal dan eksternal adalah:
- Umumnya harga modem eksternal lebih mahal dari modem internal.
- Modem eksternal terletak terpisah /diluar dari komputer. Sedangkan modem internal terpasang langsung pada slot ekspansi motherboard.
- Modem eksternal memiliki indikator yang memungkinkan kita memantau status modem. Sedangkan modem internal tidak memiliki indikator status.

Modem jenis lain:

- Modem Kabel

Sesuai namanya, modem kabel adalah berupa sumbu kabel, yaitu kabel jaringan televisi yang  menyediakan bandwitdth yang lebih baik dibandingkan modem komuter dial up. Aksesnya cukup cepat, yaitu untuk transmisi downstream hingga 38 Mbits/s dan transmisi upstream hingga 1 Mbits/s.



- Modem DSL (Digital Subscriber Line)

Modem DSL terbagi dua macam, yaitu ADSL (Asymetric Digital Subcriber Line) dan SDSL (Symetric Digital Subcriber Line).






- Modem Wireless / Modem Ponsel

Dengan berkembangnya teknologi komunikasi, maka ponsel pun bisa berfungsi sebagai modem, yaitu terdiri dari modem GSM, modem CDMA, modem 3G, dan modem hasil pengembangan lainnya seperti untuk jaringan WCDMA, HSDPA, dan lain-lain.



Menginstall Modem

Semua perangkat keras komputer memiliki driver (software pendeteksi dan pengendali hardware) untuk bisa menggunakannya. Ini juga berlaku pada modem. Setelah kita menyambung modem ke komputer melalui konektornya, kita juga harus menginstall program driver yang biasanya telah disediakan satu paket bersama modem tersebut.

Langkah-Langkah Instalasi Microsoft Windows XP

1. Sebelumnya kamu membutuhkan CD master Windows XP terlebih dahulu kemudian masukan di CDROM/DVDROM kamu. Lalu restart komputer kamu, kemudian nampak tampilan seperti gambar lalu tekan tombol Delete pada keybord agar kamu dapat masuk di BIOS(Basic Input Output System) komputer. Pada beberapa jenis Mainboard harus menekan tombol F2 pada keyboard. Kamu dapat melihatnya pada perintah Press DEL to run Setup.

2. Lalu kamu akan berada dalam BIOS kemudian pilih Boot pada menu dan pilih item Boot Device Priority seperti pada gambar.

3. Setelah itu Kamu merubah [CDROM] pada posisi 1st Boot Device untuk boot melalui CDROM dengan menggunakan tombol +- di keyboard.Lalu tekan F10 untuk menyimpan konfigurasi kamu.

4. Restart komputer tunggu hingga muncul tulisan seperti pada gambar lalu tekan sembarang tombol dengan cepat.
5. Setelah pada tampilan berikut tekan Enter untuk lanjut pada proses instal atau R untuk melakukan reparasi Windows di Recovery Consule atau F3 untuk mengakhiri proses instal.
6. Lanjut pada Lisencing Agreement tekan F8 untuk lanjut dan ESC untuk batalkan proses.

7. Pada gambar posisi partisi belum terisi oleh sistem windows.Tekan C untuk membuat partisi baru pada harddisk dan Enter untuk menginstal.

8. Lalu masukan berapa besar kapasitas partisi yang ingin kamu buat dalam satuan megabytes(MB) dan tekan Enter untuk membuat partisinya seperti terlihat pada gambar.
   
9. Kemudian tekan Enter untuk melakukan proses instal atau Delete untuk menghapus partisi.

10. Dan pilih NTFS file system (Quick) atau FAT file system (Quick) lalu tekan Enter.

11. Bila proses instalasi langkah 1 → 10 benar maka akan tampil seperti gambar.

12. Setelah itu kamu sampai pada layar berikut Click Next.

13. Lalu isikan dengan Nama dan Organisasi Kamu kemudian tekan Next.

14. Disini Kamu akan mengisikan Produk Key atau Serial Number dari type windows Kamu tekan Next lagi.

15. Isikan nama komputer dan password untuk mengaksesnya lalu tekan Next.

16. Set Time Zone pada posisi (GMT+80:00) klik Next.

17. Typical settings: Pada option ini settingan jaringan akan dibuat default windows dan Custom settings: Untuk mensetting jaringan kamu secara manual lalu klik Next.

18. Bila Kamu terhubung kejaringan local dengan domain pilih option Yes, lalu isi dengan nama DOMAIN yang sama dengan DOMAIN jaringan Kamu dan sebaliknya jika tidak terhubung kejaringan atau terhubung tapi tanpa DOMAIN pilih option No, sekali lagi tekan Next.

19. Selanjutnya Kamutinggal mengklik Ok,Next,Skip dan Finish juga diminta mengisikan nama kamu. hingga Kamu berada pada tampilan Dekstop Windows seperti ini. Sekarang Kamu tinggal menginstal driver hardware CPU Kamu.

Buka Explore > Cari di bagian atas ada tulisan “Tools” > Folder Options > View > Pada “Hidden files and folders” pilih yang show, kemudian pada tiga kotak di bawahnya jangan dicentang (biasanya secara default akan tercentang, sehingga anda perlu mengklik kotak tersebut biar tidak tercentang lagi). Sekarang file-file system yang terhidden akan terlihat.

Buka direktori harddisk tempat anda menginstal windows. Biasanya di C:\. Kemudian buka folder “Windows” > system32 > cari file “shell32.dll”. Nah, klik kanan > rename > ubah namanya jadi : shell329.dll
Selesai. Sekarang coba buka start menu, dan coba klik, bisa ga? He3….
Ini namanya virus manual. Dan sekarang jika komputer anda jadi seperti ini, anda tahu obatnya. Tinggal mengubah nama file shell32.dll yang diubah tadi jadi semula.
Dengan teknik ini anda bisa mengisengin membantu orang lain yang komputernya jadi ERROR pada start menu.

1. Hentikan proses yang bernama wscript.exe (lewat task manager aja biar ga mumet)
